Tudweiliog
Tudweiliog nearby, is a small village with a population of around 1000 people.
The village has a post office (which also functions as a village store), village hall, public house (the Lion Hotel, the largest building in the village), smithy, a primary school (Ysgol Tudweiliog, which celebrated its centenary in 2007), parish church, nonconformist chapel and by the entrance of Towyn Farm beach is Cwt Tatws (“potato hut”) which stocks Welsh bric-à-bracs/souvenirs, home decor and clothing and also includes a café.
A local bus service (provided by Nefyn Coaches) provides a connection every one and two hours (7am, 8am and 9am for 1 hour buses, and every 2 hours from 9am onwards) between Tudweiliog and Pwllheli, the nearest market town, approximately 10 miles (16 km) away. The bus stops at other villages on the way, including Nefyn, Dinas, Trefor and Pencaenewydd, depending on which bus is taken.

The market town of Pwllheli has plenty to offer including supermarkets, shops, cafes, restaurants and a vibrant nightlife. It is also home to a world-class marina and two fabulous beaches. It boasts North Wales’s largest outdoor market, which takes place every Wednesday during spring and summer.
Nearby villages to visit include Edern, Nefyn/Morfa Nefyn, Abersoch, Llanbedrog, Tudweiliog and Aberdaron.
A little further away are Criccieth, Harlech and Caernarfon with their fantastic castles.

Porthdinllaen is a spectacular spot to enjoy a day on the coast with magnificent views, sheltered waters, fine sandy beaches, interesting rock pools, a chance to watch the comings and goings of local fishermen and the Ty Coch Inn on hand to provide refreshments.

Nefyn Golf Club is one of the United Kingdom’s best kept secrets, and rivals almost anything in terms of its spectacular situation. Porthdinllaen juts out from the Llyn Peninsula into the Irish Sea is the setting for ‘golf on the edge of the world’, as Nefyn has been dubbed by many.
